just wondering if anyone knows if we can load in a softcam from usb stick ?

if so , which softcam is used ?

and which cam etc ?

I know on many usb boxes this is done by using a softcam and data transfer , and on my dreambox you ftp keys in or d/l from a server , and on my tm1500 you load in over a serial null modem cable

so I would assume there must be some easy method on this s4000 ?

at the moment I am using xcam so would hope that I can retain that but also decrypt digi tv by using some soft of softcam ?

thanks

I've made a new application mate, this one includes a SoftCam.Key file updater.

If you are using mcas and xcam, just turn off xcam and the the keys will work.

thanks for the above info etc

I have got the keys to work using cccam , incubus and xcam as activated plugins now that we have the new installer

I have found that:-

to start cccam I need to start octagon.sh40

to start xcam I start XcamClient

and to start incubus I start the plugin start_incu

I have tested a C line in cccam , an N line and also a C line in xcam , but I cannot get a C line in incubus to work

the format I have tried is this example below

The incubus config line is for running a cccam C line in incubus.

cs_server.com is the server domain
12000 is the port number
username: kinkdink
password: satdudez

so an incubusCamd.conf line should look like this:

card_server_url=cccam://kinkdink:satdudez@cs_server.com:1 2000

( with no spaces , the forum adds those when displaying some lines )

obviously I used my own details in place of the example above , like name , password , port etc

I have found that xcam seems to work best for all these details , softcam keys , C line and N line

thats about as far as I managed to test things up to now

You need old firmware for incubus to work.

Incubus 0.9.7-b works fine for me for CS (Newcs and CCCAM) but not with Softcam.Key EMU.
