deleting channels affect recording timers

if you have a timed program set, say or example - recording BBC1 at 22:00 on channel number 342, and then u go on to edit some channels, maybe say, delete channels numbers 223, and 247, the timed recording will then deduct by however number of channels deleted before it, so the timer for channel 342, will become whatever channel is on 340, and therefore records the wrong channel u had originally input
