Hi All,

The newest versions of the OoZooN image have PipZal under the stop button.
Every time when I am in timeshift and want to go back to realtime, PIP is activated, I find that very annoying.

I have looked at the latest OpenPli images and they have the same issue.

Is there a way I can disable this ?

Regards,
Arjan.

Are you using oozoon OE 1.5 or 1.6 ?

Afaik pip zap has been removed form oozoon OE 1.5 or at least it was last time i used it a few weeks ago.

You can only really say you are using the latest oozoon if you have done all online updates.

I remember the problem you speak about and afaik it was fixed before he removed it completely from 1.5.

At the moment pip zap is still present in OE 1.6 and there is no problem, one press of the stop button will stop timeshift, it's not until you press it again that pip zap is activated.

oozoon has a poll on ihad asking if users want to keep pip zap or not, at the moment the 'nots' are winning.

imo it's not really needed as 'virtual pip zap' does more or less the same job but with epg.

I use "OoZooN fullimage EČ 2.8 "stable" OE 1.5"
I know I have the latest version because I have downloaded the newest one from the website and let it do the update online.

Ah, stable version is always quite old compared to his experimental versions.

Most of us here use the the experimental versions, as they are kept bang up to date with the online updates.

Eh, sorry, but 03.04.2010 is not realy old, it's the latest one.
Besides, the 3 previous experimental versions have the same issue.

Can't help then, as I said i've been using OE 1.6 for 2 or 3 weeks now and the problem doesn't exist with that.

BTW, even if the stable is new it still won't include same patches as found in experimental.

Where can I find 1.6 then ?
I can't find it on www.oozoon.tv.

You have been running OE 1.6 for a while now, is that on the DM8000 ?
And if yes, what happens when you press the stop button ?
(I do see that the pipzap patch is installed in OE 1.6)

Yes I have an 8k.

Pressing stop brings up pip zap.

Pressing stop with time shift running brings up option to stop timeshift.

Just had a thought, are you using standard timeshift or permanent timeshift ?

If the latter which version ?

I use Permanent timeshift 0.9.5, but without PTS the issue is the same, so it is not that plugin.

Never the less that version is far too old now you should be using vers1.0 RC10.

I know, but too many disadvantages in the newer versions.
I like 1 big timeshift in the channel I am watching, the newer versions have a timeshift per event and I don't like how that is implemented.

Well, you can't have it all ways, if you use older plugins with new CVS then sooner or later you will run into problems.

I know, you are right, but the newer version gives me a problem too.
When a new event starts, a new recording is started and I can't go back to the previous one.
The older version has 1 long timeshift, the newer one does not, unfortunately.

There is a new version out, OoZooN Image EČ "experimental" OE 1.6, dated 15-05-2010.
In the info it doesn't say that the pipzap patch is loaded (like it does in the last couple of older versions), but it is ... unfortunately.
Installed it, tested it, removed it.
