I've not had my box very long so I'm still sorting out what I can do.
I have a premium box and went from a wired to wifi . I've used Wifi before with the box with no probs. My box would not connect so i tried re-booting it. It is now stuck in BOOTING. I have tried powering-off. It just goes to power-on then Booting.
I have tried powering up with a USB stick with containing the latest firmware but still no joy.
I am using a Scart lead
Any suggestions what I could do next would be greatly appreciated.
I'm tearing my hair out and I don't have that much to begin with
thanks

I am no expert myself but have you tried a different memory stick as not all will work. Make sure the firmware is called patch.bin.

Thanks
I previously used the memory stick to update the firmware that was on the box so I know it works OK
I'm lost with what to do next:banghead:
Are there any AZbox engineers who can sort it out if the solution is beyond me?

Try to format again in fat 32 and put on it only patch.bin

thanks Jaksa72
I made another memory stick into FAT 32 using swissknife and then loaded it with a patch. bin
Still no joy
Looks like a repair job
Anybody know where I can get an AZbox fixed ?

Are you sure the patch.bin is not corrupt? Try downloading from a different source?

Could be, but I loaded 0.9.4749 patch bin from here (Satpimps).

Did you try front and back usb?
Reconnect wired network?

completly remove power and wait a couple of minutes before reconnecting?

I tried the both the front and back ports but I did not try reconnecting it to my router.I'll try that and I will also disconnect the power for a couple of mins

I reported here same issue end of March.
My box still has not returned from service - they are unable to fix this.
Can't get my money back too.
Utterly frustrating... :puke:

guys this happened to me in january this year i had been using two pen drives in my azbox premium and all was fine until one day i flashed my box by downloading the firmware using the box. my box was wireless so must have corrupted the firmware. anyway when the box updated it stayed on the booting screen and now wouldn't read any patch files of my pen drives that i knew were working because i had allways used them so i tryed formatting the two pen drives but this did not work i also tryed changing the name of the patch file it's self and this never worked either. i thought my box was for the bin untill one day weeks later i got a free pen drive with a hard drive that i bought and thought i would give it a go. i put the latest firmware on it put it in the box and rebooted the box and it let me update it first time but till this day the two pen drives that i used to use all the time wont work in the azbox and my other one does

so try a new pen drive guys my guess is this will work just like mine did

if not you could contact azbox and ask about a new dom for your box

hope this helps

kind regards

I believe that usb flash must be formatted FAT not FA**2. Try reformatting the flash, reload patch.bin insert into box, power off completely for say 20 seconds then power up and cross fingers! Assuming it recognises file try format application area, install patch file and then reinstall channel list and plug ins.

Good luck.

No, FAT 32 is also OK!

The only way to solve this kind of problem DIY way is to open your box replace the DOM inside with a HDD or another DOM or even a CF to Ide adapter with a a good CF card inside.

If you have a Premium or Premium + you should have no problem getting the power cable you need (couse you can use a splitter from the inside HDD bay) if you have an elite model is a little tricky but i'we managed to find a way for this model too.

SSD (DOM) has nothing to do with the "booting" syndrome (which is broken FLASH memory).

FLASH holds bootloader & USB driver
DOM holds just the Firmware
