Has Power surge killed my DM

DM500S will not connect to Addons.
When I try I get error message can’t resolve hostname.
It was working till I had a power surge when I blew my 850 supply and killed the ring main.
My Dreambox is connected to my LAN with a power over LAN plug.
I have done countless factory reset and run a cable from my modem.
I can ping the DM most of the time with no loss.
Dream Control Centre will connect to it but flash ****** craps out when I try to flash it.
Is it possible that the power surge has done something to my DM?
Is there any thing else I might try I do not have a crossover cable as of yet.
I am just a beginner on this stuff so take it easy on me please.

go into network setting, make sure network is set to dhcp, save and reboot

Thanks for the reply I got a cable and re-flashed it and is working fine at this time.
