hi
a person who is interested to buy an azbox asked me if it is compatible with virgin media.as i dont know the answer can u help me? is virgin media a cable or satellite provider?
i would appreciate your help

If it has cable tuner installed, yes you can use it to view virg*n. If his area has gone to nagra3 all he will be able to view from the feed is the fta channels.

AZbox works fine with Virgin Media Cable broadband. A simple (non-ASDL) router is needed in addition to the Virgin modem.

Virgin Media are rolling out a new encryption, Luton I think has gone over, so no more free cable

Thanks. Thats is a shame. Good while it lasted..I am sure it was the reason I love my azbox..maybe I will join the moaning gang now..lol

I have a dish and a motor! All tha I want to watch is football and a bit of US drama here and there, all the News channels are free anyway...for me all the decent stuff are on 28E apart from 3PM football and I am not into card sharing business....
