Went to a local Sat. business back in Dec09, with intention to get them to change Manhat550 system to Linux type box.

'Look at this Sir, THE 9600ip'.

'Wow great picture on every channel', sez Ding. . . . 'Errr, hang on how much?'

'120bar + subcontractor fitting'. (Was 230, all in). (I was there with 300 deposit so sweet deal then.)

Disc 1.2 & box added. Nice.

Saturday comes & dish trotts off to E. limit! Dead in water.

Holidays, sickness, forgot you sorry, you're in diary, ****! Forgot you again, sorry & be out tomorrow.

So after 4 months & 3 retunes tonight, a 'factory reset', then six or so retunes (it would only hold 3 Sats.) I had Fulham game for TV. Afterwards I went a searchin' & It's stuck again searchin' for 1.W!

Now the lad is returnin' tomorrow, to be fair. (Been 4months but wots a day.)

I registered with the Nan site tonight & WHOOSH, wtf, not a clue what this box is on about!

A bit like The Den in 2004;

hi m8, are you using usals or diseqc 1.2?, these boxs are absolutely fantastic imho when set up right. 14 packages on astra/hotbird alone. give me as much information as you can, what software/keyfile, sats you are trying to get ect and i should be able to help you. regards mdt

got this box protec 9600 a few days ago, was recommended by a friend on the forum, its the dogs bal*s just plug and play as it was set-up 4 me when it arrived. im using it along side my tm6900 and it opens alot. glad i got it.:respect-040:

would have liked the hd one but a bit expensive for me, so i use it along with tm6900.

If you can afford the HD version get that, but I must say the 9600 is a bargain, the amount of stuff I've watched in the passed 6 months of owning it is great, as well as the Lan stuff it gets it also has a softcam type thing that opens stuff , so if your Internet is down you still get stuff

I had one of these for about 18 months (nanoxx9600) same model basically. Excellent little receiver, great support, loads to watch. When everything went down for a while I thought that was it and gave it to my son. Big mistake .Its better than ever now and I can't get it back

have mine 2 years and very happy with it,however on offical site they keep on about an id for box which with new software adds extra packages.but thats as far as i can get.anybody any idea where i can get this id and software as site says they do not do it or am i missing something.

i have bought a protek box sec hand it working but it ask me for a id because i want to the greek channels i know the dealer gives this id but dealer is gone does not exist anymore. is there somebody in the forum who knows how to get this new id

go on nanno site greek section ask on there geoge 1 will help if he can get one thats where i got mine through pm,

I'm interested in the new black 9750 Protek but its out of stock everywhere in the UK at present, I may but one from Germany. Other than the plug will there be any difference to UK stock?
