I'd like to know that as well. I'm using the latest Blackhole from dream elite which is my favourite so far. Which one you're using btw ?

Well I've tried it and first impresssions are that it's faster than the dream elite blackhole zapping hd channels and cured something I was mad about. I used to get - tune failed on some Astra2 frequencies which this image solved. Go figure ...

I'm using BlackHole as well. However i was always a gemini user, and as BH has never caused me any problems (not a single restart from day one) i would rather listen to other users opinions before trying it myself.

With every new release expect things to get better, Gemini is using a newer version of enigma and SS bootloader.

Im using a newnigma and get tune fail sometimes on some channels. Im wondering is tune fail due to weak signal?

I am using Merlin2-Excalibur Image and work well. Also I have tune failed in some sky uk channels but I think this is the week signal problem.
I don't like gemini and I will never install it again.I still remember the clone **** which one made a problem with original boxes too!

This tune fail thing is probably due to weak signal but I can't understand why it happens on different channels in different images. Also when you go to menu > service searching > satfinder there's a lock box that is checked in some channels and not even present in others, namely those where the SNR bar varies from 0% to 100% constantly and which I simply can't figure out why. Any ideas ??

There is a plugin called Sherlock that can show you more info (signal, feq ect..)
and has both SNR and %

Just try this. I love it. It has what you want plus you can take your laptop close to the dish and fine tune any given channel you want. Assuming your wireless lan signal is strong enough that is ...

I think the Gemini image sometimes gives the wrong SNR value. Im sure some have noticed that. Cant figure this one out. Although its slow I still get a good picture or maybe im wrong

Sorry, I meant to say even the SNR value is low, I still get a good picture. But so far I havent seen my SNR values go above 80%. Even on the strongest channels that I recieve. Thanks

Personally I don't think the SNR is worth looking at, I have both my 500 and 800 connected to a fixed dish on 28.2 and the readings are almost 30% different.

your right Sonic, it doesnt make a difference. But it is a bit wiered that it should give accurate radings. it must be a bug in the image or who knows, maybe it getting confused readings from the lnb. Who knows

Open the flash image by DCC program:

go to /etc/tubox and open the file satellites.xml, and create the transponders that you need
