500hd and hdd

Hi there

This could be stupid but since I never had a dreambox before could I use a sata hdd and a docking station with it's own power supply and e-sata connection with my new 500 hd ?? Also could it be posible to pause a live broadcast go to the loo and start where I left ?

I use esata with external power supply.

You can use time shift for pausing and then coming back when you need a pee break.

I use a Icy box and add a normal hard disk it can be found here

I have tried to get a Throttle esata to work but without success.

I cheated, I had a 120g hard drive from an old laptop and purchased a caddy for it from e b a y for about £8

Maybe I should my harddrive from my old desktop, western digital
