Yes it does, I connect my Spiderbox 5000 SD through the loop of the 9000 HD and both are working fine.

I can also vouch that it works as 'slave' loopthrough, as i have my TM powering my motor, which loops out to a Manhattan, which in turn loops out to my SpiderBox & all boxes work fine...(Master receiver has to be switched to standby when a slave receiver is in use to be able to view both H&V Polarities on a sat correctly on the slave receiver)...
I believe the SpiderBox works just as proficiently when used as the Master receiver...

Quick question on loop-through . . . can I take one feed out of a Sky+ box and loop it through a Freesat receiver (with loop-through) and then back into the Sky+? Presumable Sky+ still works provided the Freesat box is off? With Freesat on, will Sky+ still work (ie record) on one channel, and if so is there a recommendation to take feed two through the Freesat - leaving feed one alone (does Sky+ take tuner one by default for first recording?). I hope this question makes sense!

It may be a lot better if you have a look at
the lnb on the dish there is a good chance there
is 4 outputs 2 used for sly+ and 2 spare run a new
cable for your new box. You should have started a
new topic as it not spiderbox related may get closed

Sorry if its in the wrong place Dave - just that you guys were obviously up on this subject. I do have a quad LNB, but all are in use (multiroom Sky+'s).

You need to know how the sky+ works I would
think lnb1 general view lnb2 record + timeshift
the problem is if you use the loop-through they can
only view/record programs on the same transponder
it will cause problems with the sky+ functions when your
fta box was switched on Hope that makes some sence

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I was always under the impression that the sly boxes don't have a loopthrough. I see an option would be to fit an octo (8 output) LNB.

No sky+ dont have loop through but think paulus was going
to use a loop throught on his fta box but octo (8 output) LNB :respect-046:
did not know there was such a beast thats the way forward

Thanks guys. Wasn't sure of the "same transponder" issue when using loop-through, so the octo LNB (which I also did not know about) looks the best route.

Many thanks.

Note....
There are specific Octo LNBs for the sly Mk3 or Mk4 (after April 2009) dish. You will need to measure the LNB arm to ensure you get the correct bracket and LNB.
