Hi all
My axbox has a problem with recording playback.Pic freezes,reboot needed 2/3 times to detected hdd again, using latest firmware.hdd is WD 500G sata2 green. Question is this a bug in firmware or incompatible hdd

hi, i believe gthis is the latest fw bug as i've not had this prob before, only since upgrade...can you record fta ok?
latest firmware records in sd no problems at all here, hd, small freezing on cs.

it records fine in hd /sd, just playback freexes iv tried 2 hdd both WD sata2 green with the same result,it could be it dont like WD hdd.whats the best hdd 4 the azbox

i had the same problems with hdd and now i'm using a 2,5'' seagate 160gb .
it won't fit properly to the mount but what the heck it is working .
maybe the less power consumption is critical .

thanks i thought it was the hdd.time 2 buy a new 1 , any1 recommend 1tb drive or a 500g

sorted my problem,drive now playing back smooth.all it was jumper setting
OPT1 enable jumper on pins 5-6
1.5gb/s data transfer speed activated
may be of help 2 others

I had the same problem when I installed an WD HDD on by box last October. It was a big headache until I found the solution, as there was no information at all on the forums about the hard disk needing a jumper setting in order to run smooth on the Azbox.
