Can I use Flash*******Pro to flash my DM or do I need cable as every time I try with ***********Pro I get a message this is not yet supported on the DM7020 the file name is (DreamEliteBH_DM500HD_10b.nfi)

You flash via your web browser, same as 800HD and 8000HD.

A quick search on the board and you will find it.

Other than that go to DMM home page and follow the instructions for flashing.

Thanks for the reply.

I have had a bad flash or corrupt image using the web browser.

Have tried dream up with no luck. I have a USB cable to USB mini and a cross over Ethernet cable.
The program just stops and said connection prepared switch on drembox but nothing happens. The drembox IP Address has changed to 169.254.204.226

Are their any programs to force flash the box as I have only had it a week.
I have done some goggling but no luck yet.

Are you using the crossover cable direct to the 500hd ?

The best way to flash is with the browser but you must not use a crossover cable and you need DHCP on in your router.

Crossover cable direct to box from laptop.
There is just a green light on and web browser will not connect.
The power button does nothing when I press it.

What is the IP of the box ?
How do you know what it is ?
What is the IP of your laptop ?

The ip of the box is 169.254.204.226
I go in to command prompt and type ipconfig /all and it tells me the ip address of what is connected to the Ethernet port on the laptop.
I have to change the laptop address or I get an error massage on dreamup about the subnet.

I think this is where your problem lies, can you not connect via your router ?

Thanks for your help
Still no luck with the box on the router and not working a friend’s house.
I have a RMA to send it to dream-multimedia and see what they say.
