backing up question

if i want to backup my diseq settings, and sat\channel lists , what i do i need to do?

within the recovery menu I store current system settings then download the system and services data to usb. When I reset all settings including firmware and load latest firmware and restore services from backup I notice the positioner settings have not been saved. The channel lists do though.
