seems there is way to record 4:2:2 feeds on any dreambox: this woul involve TRex and Tuxvision to watch these feeds on pc with vlc?

Yes there was a very similar method used with Nokia D-Box (Nokia 9500, 9600) which allowed live viewing of 4:2:2 thru a PC

Not what I'm looking for thou, looks like only the AZBox can do that, shame the Spiderbox wipes the floor with the AZBox in terms of cost and what can be opened, also a shame, no 4:2:2 on Spiderbox, thats the only thing from stopping me buying one, my Topfield TF4000 SD is getting a little old now thou!

sad the dropped support for that brand, makes one very weary to buy this from the sole importer, love the mania hype. See what happens when the market is saturated with these and what the competition will put on for sale. Now days fast progress on all sides hardware, encryption, drm, ...

Hello Every one....

If you see in Specification Spiderbox do not support 4.2.2

But this is not importend to spiderbox at all because all evenimnets are in 4.2.2 Spider can get in difent packages on any satellite...

I think the Answer is in Spicification of Spiderbox in Sponsor Webshop.....I can Confirm too NO 4.2.2. and is not shame to do not have 4.2.2.

I think The Answer is done .....No room for other STB here....

Diferent STB has their own Room in their section..

if some one is confuse or lost ..lol read againt the Title..

Agreed. Another box without 4.2.2 is not an option for me! Also the 8,000 channel limit bothers me. I am fed up with not being able to scan in one extra feed to watch a match just because 'channel list is full'. Yes I keep deleting transponders but I do use radios. (Technomate with 5k limit and Cak Tech with 10k). Apart from that the 'offering' looks great.

I agree on the 4:2:2. Adding this to the Spiderbox would be a decider for me as I am having to blind scan with my Technomate and transfer details to my Azbox at the moment.
I believe that a software upgrade now allows 10000 channels to be stored on the Spiderbox now.

Excuse me darkman, but you cannot compare a cs package with a 4:2:2 feed.
At least if the internet is down or the server is down or the customer cannot receive a satellite with the cs package he has an extra option.
