Yes you can view but you will need to run fausto on your pc and add an N line to your CCcam.cfg or which ever emu you use.

I'm snookered already, I think. Is it correct that that the fausto emulator has to be running on my PC? and my PC connected with a null modem cable to my DB. If so I can't do this as my PC is to far away. My Laptop has no null cable connection. I have USB but the DB500 has no USB port. If think you can buy a Null Modem to USB cable does anyone tried this and knows if it will work. I just want to make sure before I buy one.

I run fausto on wireless laptop and send to Dreambox via N line in CCcam.cfg

As long as you have a network up and running that is all you need.

The only downside is you need to have the pc on when you wish to view so for me it is rare that I run it but if needed it works great.

The N: lines can go any where in the config.
First download fausto 1.44 then diablo keys once installed a running you may need to do the config again. select fausto emulator>monitor and load the keys.bin from the diablo keys then select server then select manager tab>load>start.
You should see the box connect on the clients tab in server.

Thanks for your help with this. I've made progress but I can't clear the channels. Can you see what I've done wrong.

Downloaded fausto v1.44
Downloaded Fausto keys Bulsat(39°E)_210510(from Key Bin Files Section)
Loaded the Key Bin File Emulator/Monitor/Keys File

Do I also need to ftp the keys to the Dreambox? Var/keys
Done the cccam.config and the fausto server config
Gone into Fausto Server/Manager Loaded then Start
I get an index fron 1 to 11 that shows all running. However under the Client Tab nothing comes up.
Any idea what's wrong.

Its not connecting for some reason, is cccam running? Is your firewall blocking fausto?

No you dont need put the keys on your DM.

Just checked on DCC my Laptops IP is 192.168.0.2 does that mean I need to change these lines from 192.168.0.1 these are the lines I'm using and I've pasted these into the Cccam.cfg & Fausto Server Config

It needs to be your laptops or what ever pc you run it on IP address so you will need to change them.

well thats another 6 hours wasted every time i set it up put keybin file in the latest dated yesterday 22/5/2010 connect up put season interface in dragon cam get the ATr ok but no key code or owt and just sit there like a plank
waiting ECM tried on a free to air channel then on an encrypeted channel no its going nowhere
just what am a doing wrong

3rd Edit "FaustoServers.cfg" in Fausto Servers folder in PC where Fausto is installed
(NOTE: prior to insertion set the IP address in each line to that of your PC)

4th Unzip latest "Fausto keys.zip" (usually found here https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?p=725790#post72579 0) to a folder on your PC.

5th Start Fausto by clicking the icon on the desktop PC.

6th Select Fausto Emulator (Earth symbol) -> Server -> Manager, click the Load and Start.

7th Select Monitor, click on the folder icon with a green arrow to enter the path to Fausto

8th Restart Cccam on Dreambox to connect to Fausto Server.

and i have done all what has been said but its when i put the keybin file in and got season etc etc etc it seams as if there are no keys in the binfile
and when i connect the season all i get is atr sent blah blah blah no country
code absoluty nowt lol it took me 3 weeks to get the dreambox up and running

I'm afraid I do not use Fausto with Seasons interface. So I cannot really help you there. My box is connected to router 24/7 and I connect to Fausto directly through the network.

Hi Springer Thanks for your help with this I thought Id sorted it out as I was using the wrong IP I've now changed this and given it another go but still no luck. I've follwed your instructions but stuck with

I have gone into the install folder
C:/Programme Files/Fausto

I have no Fausto Servers Folder Just folders EMU, Keys, Data, Language and Themes. I have opened Fausto Emulator selected server tab then configuration I've then pasted the lines in. Can you please confirm this right

Thanks Guys I finally got it working last night!!! I reinstalled Fausto and this time when I went into server/config I pressed open and a lot of script text appeared, so I just amended all the IP's and pasted the lines in at the bottom, Started it up and it worked. Not sure what happened when I first tried it. I must of somehow deleted all the text.

Sorry to tag onto this thread but I thought it would be better than starting another on the same topic.

I have a tm9100 runing cc.214. I have downloaded fausto and followed springer's step by step guide but cannot get any of the i2 channels to clear.

Is there anything else I need to do like port forwarding or put any other info in the cc config file?

At the moment in fausto under server/processes i'm getting

"new connection from 192.168.1.2 on socket...." (tm9100 ip add)
followed by
"connection closed for 192.168.1.2 on socket...."

it seems like the stb is refusing connection but I don't know why...can anybody help?

try assigning a fixed LAN ip in your router , for all your home units .

don't know what talk talk is , but normaly you type the router address ( 192.168.1.1 ) in your browser , while there you go to network / LAN / client list and "check" the current ip for a particular mac address .

perhaps someone in uk or your internet provider can provide you with more help .

most routers if not all , have an option like below - you only need to RESERVE a unit
and it will always stay on same LAN address,

3 dm7000 192.168.1.32 xxxxxxxxxxx yes

Guys I've just changed from v1.44 to 1.45 and now I can't get 39e to open.

In Fausto Emu under Server/Log I get the message "[CAN'T DECODE]"

Also under the 'Monitor' tab at the bottom the box 'CW' is blank, i'm pretty sure this had data in it in the past.

Can anyone advise me on what I need to do to get this working again?

Ignore previous message, i've sorted it now, loaded "Diablo Full Keys Update by T@jo" and all is ok now.

well guys been racking the little bit of brain cell i have left just coulnt understand why fausto wasnt decoding put keys etc,etc nowt not a flicker till i went into CCcam
NO BLOODY N lines ffs so re entered them and it fired up getting a brill pic its hasent froze up as yet i must ahve a decent connection for a chamge lol

I have DM500s connected through router to my PC.
I´ve done everything as Springer wrote in his post # 25 /page 2/,
but still got no picture on Bulsat 39E /FTA prog. are running/.

In FaustoServers.cfg I have :

I see status : running /Newcamd.../, but
in client - manager is nothing to see , empty page.

the faustoserver.cfg could be cleaned up by putting the providers of the same caids in the same lines .

N: 192.168.0.104 10900 0102030405060708091011121314 {0604/000000 000001 000002}

this saves the amount of ports open and is alot neater to read .
