im new so i have some dm500 questions

im having difficulty flashing my box so can someone guide me through the proceedure and recommend a good newbie image to get me going..:bigear:

my set up at the moment is motorised dish.. and i have a connection on DCC ..:respect-applause-00

it was working before and some one restit to factory reset so its empty now before it was working and i didint have a card but i get all the channel do that mean its a clone?

pls help to make it work

Well you need to know otherwise you might install a firmware which blocks clones. When did you buy it? Is it a dm500s?

yeah dm 500 s i buyt 3 month ago from tunisia and everything was working on it and when i moved here some one reseted to factury reset

1. Unpacked the dreambox
2. Plugged it in (including network cable to router or PC) and went thru the initial setup (probably dont need this step!!)
3. Turned off the box at the wall and held in the power button on the box, then switched back on at wall, to get into a mode to load new firmware
4. The oled on the front shows **BOOT** and an ip address.
5. Fire up a web browser and enter http://<ip shown on db>
6. This takes you into a web page where you can click to load new firmware.
7. browse to where your new firmware image is (this is downloaded and the file image should be saved as an NFI file using either winzip or winrar....)
8. Click on load/go and thats it - sit back for a couple of minutes till status bar on web page shows "complete"
9. Press the power button on your DB this will restart your box and load the new firmware with a CLASS looking boot screen.
10. Go thru initial setup (as per original image)
11. Here you can either scan satellites, or cancel and load settings from the server (blue button)
12 job done..!! :0)

If it was working and someone did a facotry reset, then you don't need to install new firmware. You said you are using a motorised dish. Is it setup correctly? Have you scanned any channels? Are you able to view free channels?

Also it would be good if you could tell us what image is already installed. Are yo using Gemini? Nabilosat? something else?

the dish is ok and the setep is ok but i cant get anything in my dreams box cuz it impty and i dont know how to save and make the satilt work to get a chanel and i have the signel but not so good i think its on the 13dgr

If it is gemini you will see a big "the GP" logo when rebooting the box. Something like this _http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQDNBp6w97w

Go to menu, setup, service searching and try to scan hotbird. You can also download a good channel list from the internet and if you are indeed using gemini it is quite easy.

1.Are you sure you are using gemini?
2.Is your box connected to the internet?

All images are good. Its a matter of what you like most. Others like Gemini, others like nabilosat, others sif ......

Is your box connected to the internet?

If yes then press the blue button, go to Addons, download from gemini server, then go to sat settings and find some good motorised settings. Then you should be able to watch free channels.

If your box is not connected to the internet, go to menu, setup, service searching, and do an automatic multisat scan or automatic transponder scan

Which means you are not connected to the internet. Do a manual scan.

In order to connect to the internet you need to give us a few info.

1. Are you using a router?
2. Is your dreambox connected to the router?
3. Is your dreambox connected to your pc and your pc is connected to the internet?
4. Something else?

when it was working i have all the channel working
