Dead tuner in clone?

Mate has 800 clone and fitted an inline signal amp. I reckon there's the possibility of him fitting it the wrong way too.

Anyway he asked me to have a look at it. He's got black hole installed and the tuner wasn't responding to anything.

I reflashed the box with dream elite and it all boots up fine, network connects etc, then when you go to select the tuner in tuner config,...'no tuner'

It doesn't seem the end of the world as a new tuner isn't very expensive. but before he purchases one, is the re a certain type for a clone and indeed given this information, would you be of the opinion it actually is the tuner at fault.

Clone tuners are bobbins m8...

And not that cheap to replace unfortunately

Have you taken the top off to make sure it is fitting tight ?

I've seen them for sale online.

one is called rev j and one is called rev L3. They seem the same except one is £26 and one is £46. Any idea what one he'd need the box is version BL75

Cheers I'll tell him to have a look tomorrow. He thought his motor was at fault at first and he sent that back, he's had the top off. I was his last desperate call.

Try flashing an older image I had a clone
and this did the trick the image would load
ok but it would say no tuner go back to an older
image and all was ok. got rid of the clone now
it did my head in.

Cheers mate, I'll tell him to do this before he puts the problem down to the tuner

Good news...it's getting repaired by the shop that sold it to him.
