You Need a crossover network cable to connect between the PC/laptop and the spiderbox HD.
Yes it MUST be a crossover cable and not the normal cable you connect to a router.
Make your normal connection to the internet with the usb dongle on your pc and disable any wireless wifi adaptors you may have if you have on your pc or laptop.
Leave only the normal lan adaptor enable and the usb dongle.
On the network adaptor for the dongle right click on it and enable internet sharing via this adaptor. Windows will automatically assign the host adaptor as the LAN port and change it's IP to a fixed 192.168.0.1.
On your IP settings of the spiderbox you need to manually change the ip to 192.168.0.2 or above and change the gateway ip to the same as the pc IP on the lan port that will be 192.168.0.1.
That is it.
Basically the spiderbox will look for an internet connection via the gateway ip that is of the PC/laptop that in turn will divert the traffic to the usb dongle connection.
