i have got it to install, but now it is freezing on the start up screen????
I have the older western and central europeanv8.10 maps, do i need to delete them before installation??

Don't know why it's freezing for you. Should not need to delete the old map - as long it is a different map to the new map you are installing.
Which map version number are you trying to use & what version of Navcore have you got ?
I have a tomtom go 840, the navcore ver i thiink is 8.3
The old maps are 8.10,
I have tried installing them again, but same problem - frozen at start up screen, and when i remove the 8.50 from my device, it works fine????????

No idea why you are having a problem Kay, I've just tried the UK & RoI v850.2781 map on my Go730 and it works without any problem. I loaded it onto the memory card - nothing else on the card except the map folder. Then I patched the ttsystem file on my Go730 & activated the map & then I used Tomtom Home to get the latest mapshare updates.
Did you load the map to the internal memory or use a memory card & which map are you using ?

Don't know sorry B1zzzy, only got a 730 myself.
thanks anyway Russell, your support for this topic over the years has been second to none.
I think I'll try a patched map on a micro sd card and see what happens. I know it might be a risk but I just can't help myself.
I'll post the results after testing
regards
B1zzzy
i copied it on ythe internal memory of the satnav.
this is wat i am doing:
1 - Copying the maps folder on the tomtom memory
2 - opening alberts easy activator
3 - using keygen 8
4 - opening the tttgo file from the satnav
5 - slecting the maps from the satnav
6 - selecting the **** file from the maps folder from computer

Is your Navcore a patched version - or have you patched the ttsystem file on your Tomtom ? (If no to both questions - check out the guide again)
Well it's ok up to no 7, but shouldn't get no 8 :frown:. Maybe the map download had a problem - try downloading it again, then delete map from Tomtom & add new map.
Have you still got the old map on your Tomtom ?
Don't forget to update the Postcode files - the v845 UK postcode files are posted in this section.
I russell, it is working now, i wasnt patching the ttsystem file, i did it and it worked. but how do i know the new maps are on the satnav?? when i goto show version:
"western and central surope 8.10" no mention of UK maps????
any help??

What Tomtom unit have you got ?
You only need one map, so use the v850.2781 map, this have the ALG & IQ Routes.
Did you make a note of your deviceID before you started ? - If you have a back up copy you can copy the ttgo file from it - this will give you your deviceID.
Also - make sure you do not have one map folder inside another folder, you should just have one map folder named "United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ir eland"
And finally, dot forget to add the very latest v850 postcode files.

Try using Tomtom Home to get the latest voices / sounds.
To sort out postcode problem - set keyboard to QWERTY & use small letters.
