airvideo on i phone

alright all
been a while since i posted but i now moved on to airvideo for iphone
great app for streaming dm800 to iphone/ipad
i have it working with the default settings from the mod to airvideo server

however the channels.ini file is for 19E only
i am really struggling to find a way to create my own channels.ini file for slyuk etc
any help apreciated
im sure someone out there can point me in right direction

Been trying to get the ini file aswell works great with the german channels, just wish someone can give us a clue!

Load bouquet editor and your channel list then,

In bouquet editor, Functions>air video>export list and select the bouquets you want then change the video size to 640x360 it then creates the channels.ini and the 2sec picon video to where ever you specified.

You need to put the channel.ini file in the installed directory C:\Program Files\AirVideoServer

You dont realy need the picons, there just if you want it to look good.

Edit for: If you dont use picons it will just create a 2 sec video of "sorry no picon" but will still work.

I assum it uses mp4 because thats the target conversion setting and what the iphone supports.

I dont see what doing it in nero will do as if you have a problem it will probably be in the channel.ini. (as long as you have the 2 sec video clips)

If you open it up with a txt editor it is just 3 lines.
1 name
2 web interface zap to channel
3 stream address
You can test the bottom line in VLC and see if the address is correct.

I edited my zap line with a # and it still works. (with twin tuners)

Ok I haven't used this for a while but just tried then and got it to work after an hour of playing by downloading the air video mod pack from ihad and replace the ffmpeg.exe where you have installed air video

As long as you have done every thing it should work.

You only need to open ports for internet access (remote tab)

You have moved the channel.ini to the installed directory.

The resolution is 640x360 (i also select 16:9 I set this when doing the export and also in the bouquet edit settings)
try selecting all the bit rates In conversion settings>global settings in airvideo on the phone.

Can you post the live conversion log.

spent another hour on it now and still non the wiser. all channels show up in the iphone as invalid!
live folder is shared on network.
been in to firewall settings in my router and forwarded port 8001 to dm800 don't ask me why thought it would be worth trying.
there is no log to post.
the channel.ini is in the directory local disc c/program files/ air video but is in a folder. called channel.ini is that correct?
i have also edited the channel.ini file to have my ip address for the DM800 is this correct?
and i have now set the settings in the iphone to 640x360.

thanks for helping i'm sure it is something small and silly i have done wrong and hopefully you'll spot it from the above

You dont need to change the resolution on your iphone only in bouquet edit.

Im not surprised that the pre done channels dont work as they could be old and also not match that of your lamdb file.

got it to work with my channels but must admit it is very bugy mabye its due to my configuration but would not be ideal to use out of the house each attempt it has crashed when changing channels, especially if the channel is encrypted and not viewable.
iphone and ipad froze on grey background.
dm800 would not change channel without restart
restart server.

othewise it been good fun sorting it and many thanks to quailman for his help

Strange, as i said iv not used it for a while as iv now got a slingbox but i used to use it quite alot before with no problems.

Iv never had any crashes on my iphone or DM or server, the only problem iv had is over the internet in work the stream would some times just stop but could be started again.

Im using, server running:xp, source: DM8000, client:iphone using os 3.1.3

found it was just me not stopping the current conversion before trying to open another channel start new conversion.
every thing working fine.
can not seem to get it to work over 3g or on onother wifi network think its something to do with port forwarding in router but not to sure what ip addy i need to forward port 45631 for remote to work?

Try saving the channel.ini to a different location to program files.

eg. C:\channels.ini

bouquet editor>file>options>edit settings the airvideo>videolist

this worked perfectly last night this morning nothig works. i have check ip address of server pc and portforwared as the ip address had changed. Port number is the same, it now says video files need converting when last night they all just worked, also the german tv package will not work, before the red flashed on db800 when streaming now nothing streams. The file log says can not open channels.ini i have reinstalled that but still no joy. pulling my hair out again

If everything is correct then it must be a permissions thing.

Share HDD and program files or install to another HDD or location.

If not start again making your channel.ini

Also right click and run as administrator

I got the invalid channels as well and it was because the live tv file that I had on my desktop was not shared on the network.
