timer record on pvr

is there a guide for setting the spider box for timer recording to external hd i tried it the other night but it didnt start up manual recording ok

You will need to make sure your clock is set correctly:
Go to menu, Options, Time setting and set:
GMT Off
Local time : to the current time of your location
Summer time: Off

The above is my preference, you can do otherwise...
Then press exit to save the setting.
Now pres right arrow and go to Timer.
Overthere, put :
Time index to : 1 (2 or 3 or 4...if you want to record 1, 2, 3 or 4, etc...progs).
Active set to : Recording
Cycle: to once or Daily etc...
Channel type to : TV
Channel name: choose the channel from where you want to record (you are better off to be on that channel before starting the setting, so you don't have to search for it).
Start Time: Make sure you convert the time to the correct on, for eg. if the prog will be shown in C+ Spain at 2pm, we know Spain has one hour ahead of the UK, so will set the time to 1pm.
Duration: you decide , depends on the prog.
Press exit to save it all.
