problem with recording

Help!
I have an internal drive but when I try to record a channel with no EPG it incorrectly records a file (kb not mb) which plays as an error! Trying to record on 1W (digi not recording and has no epg). Any help guys?

Have you used an option to turn off your HDD in Setup menu?
Check it out and disable it if it turns off after a certain amount of time!
Your HDD needs to spin full power when you press rec button - the same applies when recording via EPG!
