WD elements for 6900hd+super

i've just got a 500gb WD elements, from pc-world for £49.99 (i think its a bargain lol). I've formatted and now is connected on my 6900hd+super i've tried recording a few minutes and its working ok. seen that this is my first drive for the TM i was wondering if its possible to do time recordings, i'm using the phant0m patch 725p, also i'm open for any suggestions how to utilised at best this drive for recording, and play, thanks in advance for your help

most likely this will work without problems: powered by the receiver.
You can use in the EPG the record button or in the Main Menu: USB: Timer Manager where you have 32 timers for repeated event recording. You're able to have 2 recordings and view a 3rd program on the same transponder, like the BBC red button streams. Play with these before so you get the hang of it.
Pause is also great for taking phone or getting a coffee (program halts and records) when you return press play and continue viewing.
