Can anyone advise how they have their hard drive set to record? ie, journaled or FA**2? I have journaled and was wondering if there is any issues regarding this as my recordings can sometimes cock up and timeshift can have a few issues. I have reverted to v10 of the firmware as the last two firmware updates were glitchy. Not tried the new one yet.

I know Journaled is there to support large file sizes but how large would a file need to be to cause an issue in FA**2?

I am using journaled and haven't had any issues with recording but when I turn on timeshift, my receiver hangs.

Having said that the .26 has got some major bugs and I have now reverted back to .22

The point of a journalled file system is to avoid disk corruption in the event of an unexpected power failure, etc. FA**2 is much less robust in this respect.

The FA**2 file size limit is between 2TB and 16TB depending on the cluster size. JFS has a much higher limit, but this is of no practical importance for a satellite receiver.

turning off timeshift definately makes the box more stable.
