Settings Backup tool problem

Well I have only had it a few days and it's GREAT ! However wishing to try other images ( Using DE at the moment) I wanted to do a backup. I connect but when I click Backup, 'Dream' appears in the left hand top file list and a 'Failed to open file ' flag pops up. Any help would be appreciated.
