You won't even get a Western Europe map without any extras under 500mb. Even the very old v6 Western Europe maps @ 900mb. The only chance you may have is to upgrade the internal memory - found this guide for you, but don't know how successful it is :-

Tutorial - Adding Internal SD Memory to a TTV3
By Lunatixz

Many people have contacted me for information on how to upgrade the internal memory of a TomTom V3 which comes with an internal memory of (512Mb UK/1Gb US). The instructions below will help you replace this memory with an SD card.

WARNING! - Neither I, nor anyone in this forum can be held responsible for any damage to your TomTom Unit. The following steps will void your warranty and without proper soldering knowledge can damage your TomTom. Follow these instructions at your own risk..

What you'll need:
1- Soldering iron (anything under 25 Watt is fine)
2- Soldering Flux
3- Q-tips
4- Electrical tape
5- 18-22AWG wire, about 3ft worth
6- MicroSD card with full size SD adapter (any good quality brand will do)
7- A set of Jewelers screwdrivers.
8- Double-sided tape

Follow these steps carefully!

Step 1- Cut 9 wires (18-22AWG) about 3" a piece.
Remove the ends from all 9 wires, and dip them into the flux so that you can prep them for soldering.

Step 2- Pre-solder the ends of all nine wires.

Step 3- Using a jeweller's screwdriver remove the four screws from the back of the TomTom unit. Removing the back cover requires a little force because there are four clips (two on each side) holding the cover on.

Step 4- Carefully disconnect the TomTom Battery and Speaker Cable.

Step 5- Remove the MicroSD card from the adapter, using a clean Q-tip place some flux on the 9 contact points on the adapter. Solder the pre-cut wires to each contact point.

Step 6- Place electrical tape over and under the work area, this will insure you will not touch vital components with your soldering iron… Don't skip this step!

Step 7- Use a Q-tip to apply flux to the pins located above the white rectangle. You will find that the TomTom unit has 12 contact points. Only 9 contact points are needed, so for now ignore pins 0, 10, and 11. Solder the 9 wires that are already connected to the SD adapter to the TomTom unit. Follow the pictures to ensure you are soldering the correct wire to the correct pin.

Step 8- Strip a small piece of wire and solder a bridge between pin 11 and the contact pin below it. As indicated in the picture below.

Step 9- Place the MicroSD card into the adapter and neatly tuck the cable behind the adapter. Place electrical tape over the soldered connection on the TomTom and SD adapter. Use double-sided tape to adhere the adapter card to the circuit board.

Step 10- Your Finished! If you soldered everything correctly the TomTom will now boot from the SD Card. This can be accessed through the USB port on the TomTom. You do not need to worry about the SD card being empty, TomTom boots from its firmware not from its internal memory.

In addition to the new memory you added, the built in internal memory is still functional when you remove the newly added SD Card. So you could in essence run two different Navcore’s by simply removing the MicroSD Card from the adapter allowing TomTom to boot from its internal memory.

If you are planning on using more than 2GB of SD memory you will need to upgrade the TomTom bootloader to version 5.5012
