I used an Andrews 1.2 dish for years and would highly recommend one.

channel master / andrews my 1.2 is now over 20 years old and as good as the day it was new.
Only down side is they are very heavy so you will need to go 36v and VBoxII and should only be ground mounted.
But they are still the best you can buy in my mind.

Yes, my 1.2 Channelmaster is twenty years old and as good as new. Problem is they are hard to find, but available. Unfortunatly the polar mount that is the business end of this wonderful system is no longer available. I did a very extensive search last year and failed to find one. I ended up making one myself.Easy enough if you have a bit of metal-working skill.TMULL

Oh yeah they start all over again but now by another manufacturers and you must know that Likvid, don't you also belong to our Fibo Family ?

Fibo is just the name in general for this type of dish with sub reflector in front.

What do you mean by they start all over again?

Fibo tools are trashed since many years if not someone did some reverse engineering on the dish?

there was a prime focus dish called a referance dish that came out about 13-15 years ago that was able to pull in c-band broadcasts but i dont know if there made anymore as i havent seen or heard the name for years. if you dont mind using a v-box/actuator jack then a andrews/cm is probably the best but if you want to stick to usals then have a look at the gibertini 1.2m dish and stab 120 motor. regards mdt

I have a Wineguard 1.2 mesh think it was imported by Drake ( remember them about 15 to 20 years ago, mount is really well coated thick steel, hopefully I'll never have to replace it ! I don't think anyone makes a mesh dish this size anymore, but they still do larger petal dishes I believe. Just for info !
Andrews and SAtcatcher pretty good.

Hi I read Your post, and I have exactly the same prob. I ask a friend to make me one, he is someone who screws and welds metal pieces, but he keeps telling me I have to give him detailend drawing for the construction.

Dou you have any drawing and pictures? would appreciste it if you could post them to me. Happyzgz@*****.es.

I would pay with a bottle of red wine, would that be ok?

thanks

I have no problems with receiving the H transponders on the Nilesat-102/7west remember my location is Rotterdam in the west of Holland, but friends of mine received this bird (H/V transponder) without any troubles by good weather in the UK even into the midlands.

Looking right now to Gear One (FTA)
