Took receipt of my new Spiderbox 9000HD this afternoon, after placing order with Goldwafers yesterday.

Swapped it over from my Dreambox 7000 in less than 15 minutes and got all channels open.

Great HD images plus a lot more :smilielol5:

Cheers Lee once again. :respect-040:

Hi. I need to replace my trusty Humax 5400. What channels are open on the Spiderbox? I am mainly interested in PL football.

Thanks,

pixey

Are the"Gift" and "service+" packages only available for a period of time, ie, for 1 year after purchase, or are they freely available to everyone?
Also, are these channels open on other recievers or are they some how tied to spiderbox?

Thanks, pixey.

yes they only avaailable on spiderbox unless the box can use cs which spiderbox does, and the gift patch only works with receivers that are bought with the gift option i belive

Is the spiderbox a better choice than a dreambox 800, or once the "gift" has expired, or would you then be better off with the dreambox?

I have both items and can tell you that overall the dreambox 800HD is the preferred machine of the two , but its more than twice the price !

the spiderbox is excellent considering its cheaper price and the "gift" channels and is adequate for most users who just want plug and play with little else

but you cannot compare the 2 items as such , its like comparing a bentley ( + running costs ) with a ford focus ( with a years free insurance and petrol )
