Searching around I came across this drive looks smart glossy black with blue LED. I need a drive with plenty of capacity at a decent price, will this work OK?
anyone have any idea what dimensions this drive has.
The WD Passport drives are very small but expensive.

If this is powered by its own transformer rather than a usb cable then it wont really do. The HD's with their own power supply tend to fall asleep and dont wake for recording. You really need a usb powered one.

I had WD Mybook Home Edition 500 GB external powered, this have a lot of problems, I nod dismantled this one and put the harddisc in my computer.
These work:
120gb and 250gb WD passport (user: FBBC) (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showpost.php?p=641766&postcount=4) <= click here
freecom 250GB
same for eSATA not all do work (WD Mybook Home Edition 500 GB)
