Skybox S9 / Openbox S9?

Hi All,

I have currently borrowed an Azbox premium off a friend and am now looking to purchase a box of my own, I came across the skybox S9 which appears to be the same as an Openbox S9 and was wondering is anyone has any experience of these boxes? please see link below.

Are they any good? do they provide a good picture, and do they support ccam and multicas?

Any advice would be appreciated on any other boxes within a similar price bracket?

In fact, they are same. The different is the name!

Yes I have just bought one and must say, I'm surprised how good the box is for the money!! At only £110 for a HD Linux box, I was thinking I was going to receive a lemon, but having set it up last night, the quality of the HD picture isn't a million miles away from my genuine Dreambox DM800HD. What I did like is that I plugged in an external USB 3.5" HDD formatted to NTFS and it used it perfectly!!

The setting up is childs play compared to most Linux boxes. You'll need a USB pen drive which you use to firstly update the firmware that comes on the box, as this does cause problems with some Sly channels.

It'll be the best £110 you'll spend this year mate!! I do know of a site selling them now at £99.99 inc delivery.

I have had my openbox s9 for a couple of weeks but having difficulty setting it up,i have updated it with the three different sw available but with all of them on sly channels the box keeps rebootig and getting stuck on the channel,furthermore having followed all insructions, the cccam.cfg file will not install on the box a msg says there is 0 account.I will be grateful if you or anyone else could assist by putting me through step by step.

do a search on sky channels causing a reboot openbox s9, you need to delete these channels..normally you can pick from around 3 differnt sky news channels and remove the offending ones..I think SKy sports is the same.
