Portcom Error

connected my 5400 ci + usb via the usb and null cable opened the file up and run cilquer but keeps coming up with portcom error, vplug is ticked. sssp is on stb.
any advise please

hi, im on com 1 and the sbcl v1.0i is connecting again and again etc. is this correct ? havent opened any channels yet just want to know if ive got it connected. DOS isnt showing portcom error anymore.

hmmm,
easy test for your comport and communication between computer and technomate:
use the channel editor (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=110802) <= click here
follow instructions with the uploaded files
SSSP should be enabled in technomate
1st start the latest CILQUER ICI .exe
2nd start SBCL .exe

Followed your advice with Clarke Tech Editor Com port is green on 4 how do I change usb to serial device in Windows Vista?

Open Device Manager:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Open-Device-Manager
select the properties of that USB device and change the comport, eventually disable the current com1 port

Plugged Usb. cable in and Device Manager picked up com lpt port renumbered to one.
Quickie question databit setting 115200 or 9600

check if you have to activate sssp in menu option of technomate?

cilquer is running, and you started sbcl when this one is running enable there in menu: vPlug click Active. Now in SBCL click vPlug and select Show Monitor. In monitor window below vplug you have some options top left: mark [v] Active. Select a JSC channel. should open with some freezes.

Poll Error: not in SSSP mode
If you have to set Menu: Option in Technomate make sure Serial Mode is set to: SSSP and not RS232

Thanks for further info Giga RS232 changed to SSSP JSC Sport 1 to 10 now clearing.
Are any of the channels still clearing on 1W Canal Nordic
