Is it just my box or is anyone else having this problem (had it for months):
My azbox premium will not record if there is no epg at all (a small file is created which is less than 1mb and comes up as 'file error.'
This happens on the digi tv channels(Cz) for example but not on bbc world which has epg. I tried every firmware/ set HDD to 'off' for standby, tried external HDD same thing happens. Tried factory reset/ deleting channels reloading software but still no joy.
Is this a firmware issue or is it the box?
Please help.
I could try adding an epg plugin such as azepgmgr- I have the following instructions:
-------------------------------------
1. USB Key:
* Copy the zip file to the key and unmount it from your PC.
* Plug the key into the box.
* Telnet to the box and change to the USB directory
2. Hard disk
* Connect to your AZBox using FTP and copy the zip file to the hard disk, i.e. to /DATA/hdb1. You can do this using the ftp command-line tool, or using one of the available tools , e.g. MaZ.
* Telnet to the box, and change to /DATA/hdb1
Now, the next part is the same for both USB and hard disk - create a new folder to contain the files, unzip the files into this and change to the bin folder:
mkdir myEPG
cd myEPG
unzip ../azepgmgr-1.0a.zip
cd bin
The program has now been installed.
--------------------------------------
I have Filezilla and I have created a new yellow folder under Data--> hdb1--> called this myEPG. I have unzipped by 'EDIT' fuction on filezilla and added 'Bin' and 'versions' to this yellow folder. What does it mean by 'change to the bin folder?' Do I open the bin folder? not sure I how I follow the instruction after 'to the bin folder: mkdir.....' do I use a program for this? Please help as I am a little lost.
Thanks for help.:frown:
