I have just received my null modem cable and are going to have a go with sssp.

Can somebody confirm if the new patch is loaded in 2 pieces like the old patches?

just load latest patch for your reciever then open Cliquer.exe application keep null modem cable attached to your reciever and sit back & enjoy .
It is looking like the only realistic way to clear channls at the moment and to be honest it dont need a genuis to figure it all out its pretty straight forward at least it was for me so i would advise just go with the flow and you'll have plenty of choice in tv once again .

presume that means no one can use the internet whilst you are watching a channel on sat rec/tv, or does it mean just open another window. as you can see im not very technical. missus complains now if im watching a downloaded film on the tv as the pc and tv are tied up. just need to order a longer null modem.

The content is not displayed on your pc
the pc just unencrypts the signal for your stb

i would think the program will run in the background and wont affect the performance of the internet or pc

5 meter max distance
only small data is exchanged on internet, so other use should be possible if not using the full download capacity of your connection

Giga,i like your info on CS sssp etc...it just looks too much for me.Is there a simpler way of using SSSP on your receiver?i mean, not going into too much dificulty..

Giga

eh? you can drop filter, the rest is needed for sssp to function.
enable SSSP on the box
have program running on computer with serial connection on COM1
that should be it

Yes computer on and linked to internet all time that you are watching. Sorry to ****** thread. I connected my null lead and ran prog to my Technomate 1500 CI Super. I sensed that laptop and receiver were talking to each other. (I do know that null lead is fine). I did not clear any channs. There is no sssp option in the menu. (Receiver too old?). Had a look in my similar Clarke Tech 2100 plus and could not see an sssp option in there either. Any thought folks?

should work when you select a channel for that bouquet with patched firmware
check this thread and the last posting of it (#17 mark in vPlug)

if your timings are OK: maybe. Wifi adds to delay, if to many freezes try with wire.

cat5 could be approx 100 meter, other wise see if you can test HomePlug Powerline (ethernet over mains circuit)
