Does anybody know if Azbox HD currently supports (or will be supporting - eg. with FW 0.6) 3D channels ?
DM800HD does :)

Well in a dutch forum they ask to update the channel list with 3D channels, so i think yes...
And why not , is it not the tv set that decodes the 3D content ????

Yes, all the decoding is done by the 3d rendering TV..thanks god. No money left for new deco with that recession.

I thought HDMI 1.4 was needed for 3D.

HDMI 1.4 is needed for audio return and signalling the TV to switch to 3D mode.

I have been watching the 3D channels fine using AZBox HD with a standard HDMI cable, I just manually switch the TV to 3D mode.

Which 3D mode you switch on the tv? I am using samsung 3dtv, there are few options for 3d, the 2d-3d mode, the side by side mode etc.

You can try one of the free Demo HD 3D channels from the list below:

http://en.*********.net/3dtv.php

All you have to do is turn on the 3D mode and then select side by side format (second option).

Actually with the Samsung you will get a very nice picture with lots of depth and pop from AZBox HD and no crosstalk.
