Hi all just noticed after sixs months my poor little azbox sat there on my shelf so decided to boot
It. Up,could anyone answer. Me the following
1 is the latest fw as good as anything
2 what does the priority manager do exactly and is it neccesary.
3 does It play mkv Files any better than it do still months ago

install latest firmare.
install priority manager 1.7 because IT WILL improve performance of azbox over the top!!


yes it plays every 1080p mkv without any problems....(if u don't use DTS with high bitrates)
if u want high bitrates use ac3. that way its perfect.

I agree, but dts also runs good, except the sound drops.

I have tested with a 12GB MKV+DTS over samba cable network and not even a freeze.

If you use a usb hard drive, i think it will be even faster.

The priomanager 1.7, brings the best of the box because it gives priority for the needed processes running, if you are watching tv all needed files to run that module gets priority over all other modules.

If you go to tv mode, you have a option that kill all emus and tv modules, to free the most off memori and processor to see the movies. When you go back to tv mode, all files are returned to run and the box gets back to normal.

Its just excelent. I recomend to anyone to use'it with azbox.

thanks for that guys
