The 1 TB hard disk I installed in my DM8000 is already full of recorded movies, so IŽll have to put in a new one, preferably a 2 TB SATA 2. Can a 2 TB hard disk work in DM8000? Have read somewhere that the size is not limitted, but I just want to make sure before I buy it and put it in.
Another question. In case of using an external hdd (connected to USB), can the recordings, made on internal hdd in the receiver, be played back if I put it into external casing?

Thank you for your answers.

Yes mate, it works a treat as I got a Western Digital Caviar Green series 2 TB installed in my box. Also I dont think there would be a problem mounting the 1 TB in an external caddy and rigging that up to work also.

Happy recording!!:woot-035:

Hit the thanks :respect-050:

Put a 2 TB hdd in my DM8000 and it works OK, no problem. Have also found out how to activate an external hdd in enclosure, connected to Dream via USB. ItŽs different for different images. Now it works both in Gemini and Nabilo.
