channel list question \ timers

i just updated from 1.8.09 to 1.8.31, did a factory reset, went to re-import channel lists, but after, it just keeps re-booting my box.

are the channel lists not compatible?

man this box is frustrating at times.

also, how do i keep my timers? what file do they go in?

if you read the other threads I already mentioned my channel list being messed up and you cannot use or see previous firmware on a stick either

seems to have gone worse imho

and no I didnt want to have to redo my lists either :(

But that has a desperate channel list - impossible to scroll from sports 1 > sports 2, for example.
Also, it has no FTP, so a nightmare trying to download recordings to PC.

I have a dreambox 800HD pvr with internal 500 gig sata hdd if I want to really fook about m8

the spiderbox is a lot less hassle then the icecrypt for normal use

the icecrypt channel list needs redoing due to the firmware update , I cant get digi tv to open any more on the icecrypt using the latest softcam , and cccam has never worked properly on it either , and neither does the sly card serving out an N line to other boxes !!

it reminds me of a good box like the tm9100 which was let down badly by the software developers , so much promise but the basics dont work right

im going back to the old firmware, and then seeing if the channel list WILL import back.

ok i see whats gone on here.

when i did an EXPORT of my channel list, in FW 1.08.09 - it corrupted it.

i just looked at the list in DrEditHD and most of the channels have a weird " p| " symbol where the channel name should be - this is probably corruption and why it wouldnt import when i was on the latest .31 f/w

when i went back to the older firmware and tried re-importing the file, some channels were there, but it certainly wasn't right, my timers werent there either (im not sure 100% sure they are supposed to be either) but with one of my older .fdu files, timers imported as well as the channels, so im assuming this should be the case.

im now gonna re apply the latest firmware, do a factory reset, and try one of my other channel lists which i know is ok in DrEditHD.

lol, well that didnt work.

ive now exported a quick channel scan channel list from new f/w to see whats different about it.

OK AFTER more testing, channel lists defo inc the timers too.

and ive just realised i can manually enter in a channel manually (pcr\vpid\apid etc) using DREDITHD so i dont have to wait for the feed.

cool, but still a pain, i hope they dont change channel lists AGAIN going forward
