Horror channels

I don't have these Freesat channels on my Icecrypt. I have scanned 28.2Astra a few times with no luck. Any tips, please?

horror is zone horror on 11261h 27500

horror + 1 is zone horror +1 on 11222h 27500

the point being they come under Z for Zone and not H for Horror

They actually have some alright stuff on those channels now and then. Worth having I think.

I used a~z sorting method for astra 28.2 and I have a couple of zone channels, but not the horror ones. I also tried manual search using the details from echelon's post and still nothing! Blind search got stuck on 11.3% and I had to quit. There was a double bill yesterday with Christian Slater I was hoping to watch, but couldn't...
I would appreciate any suggestions.

in that case you should have checked the actual details on king of sat or lyng sat

Sorry, but I am a novice in a sat world... Please bear with me. I have just had a look on sat king and these channels are on Eurobird 1. Will I be able to get them on my current setup: 90cm dish with 2 lnbs one pointing at astra 28.2 and the other one on Hotbird?? I cannot check it at the moment as I am not at home.

eurobird 1 at 28.5e is right next to astra 2 at 28.2e ( almost at the same point in the sky ) ( 0.3 degrees apart , imperceptible to the human eye )

so your lnb that receives from sky will also receive from eurobird 1 as well as the satellites at the astra 2 position , in other words , they are co-located ,

and so the one lnb will receive from all the sats at those 2 positions ( if you are in the footprint , and therefore if you are in the uk or ireland )

you havent said where "home" is , so without knowing your location its impossible to say what you will receive , and it may depend on where the arm of your dish is actually pointing too ( hotbird at 13e , astra 1 at 19e , or astra2/eurobird at 28.2e and 28.5e )

Hi I am in UK. I have tried yesterday, but when I change the dish settings to 28.2 astra-I get signal strength at 98% but quality bar is empty! Hmmm But on the other hand I did not think that that should really matter as everybody advertises that freesat boxes work off the Sky dish. I am puzzled...

if the sky dish is set correctly and picks up both satellites then you should have no problems with eurobird 1 , providing your receiver and lnb details are setup correctly

the lnb settings are universal , and 9750 / 10600 , with 22khz tone on

the freesat boxes and sky boxes already have the correct settings , but that doesnt mean your icecrypt has the correct settings as its not a freesat receiver , which means its up to you to set it correctly

and your universal lnb has to be in full working order as well

thank you guys. I do learn a lot here. I managed to find horror channel +1 but not the other one. The signal quality is bad and I get the pixelation and squeaking. But all the other channels are working fine and the signal quality seems to be good (70%). I am puzzled.

Pixelation is a Direct result of an incorrectly aligned dish/or Weak Receiver (STB).

Could you try with another Set Top Box ? to see if picture improves now that you have the correct frequencies ?
