OK, Just did an update and after restart the box won't boot up further than the 'checking for updates' that runs automatically on every reboot.
Never had a problem like this before.
I can stop the boot process by pressing the upper button on bootup to set it to STOP the boot process, is there a way I can do a restore via ftp/telnet or whatever when I have it in this mode as i have backups on the hard drive.
Or is it a total reload of image?

Thanks m8, I was aware of that method, but I was hoping I could restore from my (good) backup from my HDD that would save me a lot of hastle. Re-flashing will be a last option.
(Unless of course this can't be achieved without a re-flash as I know there's an option to restore in the backup menus, hmmm, praps i need to look at that). Will wait first in case anybody else comes up with a solution.

my 8k has a simmilar problem .....for no apperant reason when i restart the box it just freezes on boot and stays like that.

Just re-loaded Oozoon (flashed), and then in the initial screen it gives you an option to restore settings, it took seconds to do and I was up and running straight away, thank f*ck I do backups of my box whenever I do major changes.
