Hi,
I have a QUAD LNB & would like to attach it to DM500s ...
is it possible ?
Strong Quad LNBF
Model : SRT L940
INPUT : 10.7-12.75GHz
Noise Fig: 0.6dB max
if it is a Quad lnb each F connector can connect 4 receiver independently. (yes)
Quattro lnb would be used with a multiswitch, each F connector has only 1/4 of an lnb: Lo/Hi band and H/V polarization.
could not find any info on Strong SRT L940.

It is not listed on their web site:
_www.strong-technologies.com/frmProducts.aspx?PID=0&catID=4
If it is a L740 it is shown as a Quattro on the above site but a uni Quad on the one below ?????????????????????????

well thats the code i have on the LNB .... SRT L940
if you connect on 1 LNB Port and you have the full range of transponders on it, then it is Quad lnb, if only 1/4 is available it is a Quattro.

but any idea how i can try it out .... should i just remove one lnb & replace it ?
no: use one connection on that LNB if you get all transponders then it is Quad lnb. If you only get 1/4 of transponders it is a Quattro
example FTA 19.2°E transponders:
Low Band: each polarization:
10744 H 22000 FEC 5/6: Eins Extra, Eins Festival, Eins Plus, Arte (Germany), Phoenix
10788 V 22000 FEC 5/6: Multipantalla 1
High Band: each polarization:
12692 H 22000 FEC 5/6: ORF 2 Wien, Hitradio OE3, ORF 2 Europe
12552 V 22000 FEC 5/6: QVC Plus, Luxe TV, QVC Germany, Liberty TV, ***** TV, Eurotic Astra, BFM TV
if you get:
all these on one F-connector of that LNB: Quad lnb
only one transponder on one F-connector of that LNB: Quattro lnb
