Hi,

I have a Technomate 6800HD and a harddisk connected with the USB.
When recording a HD channel the subtitles are missing. Are there any solution to record the subtitles also?? Answers appreciated.
Thanks,

Regards

you're recording the stream, normally these would include DVB-s subtitles together with the other audio streams and the teletext in the TV picture when available when recording.
Are you playing back on 6800HD?
Check with channel editor if the channel recorded has all the necessary pid's are there?
BBC HD on Astra 23°E @ 10847 V SR 22000 has TXT pid set and the Sub set (don't know if this for subtitles or something else)
when you press info the OSD should also show what is present and what not above the green arch the icons where it shows the Dolby sign. Don't know if there is much difference for this between 6800 HD super and non-super?

just done the test:
subtitles and teletext when present are in the recorded stream and when played back on the receiver are selectable. you could test this on Arte HD or BBC HD.

Thank you very much for your response. I will test this again and check if I am doing something wrong.

Many thanks!

there is nothing you can do wrong with recording: you record the complete stream.
