I would like to know if I can connect this
WLI-TX4-G54HP : Wireless-G MIMO Performance* Ethernet Converter to my TM 6900 and get a wireless connection instead of ethernet cable.

The Buffalo Wileless-G MIMO Performance* High Power Ethernet Converter is an extremely versatile wireless client adapter. Use it to wirelessly connect gaming consoles, desktops, notebooks, media players, printers, Unix workstations, and any other devices with Ethernet ports. With a built-in four port switch, up to 4 devices can be simultaneously connected to the Ethernet Converter for instant wireless connectivity. The Ethernet Converter supports AOSS™, allowing you to configure a secure wireless connection with the push of a button, and offers the advanced security for WPA (TKIP, AES). Once the simple browser-based setup or AOSS™ is complete, the Ethernet Converter can be moved from one device to another without reconfiguration. You can even add an optional Buffalo antenna for extended range and performance.

Guess you're better of going for a power ethernet adapter. Wifi to slow in response times, go for 200 Mbps or higher if you can't put a cat5e or cat6 cable. Powerpoints must use same wired pairs if you have more then 2 phases in your home powergrid!

I use a wireless game adaptor - netgear wge111 and it works fine for me, even for cs. Its too slow for stb to pc file transfer (movies etc)

Ah thanks for your suggestions... very interesting...
yes my idea is for cs... (cccam)
For example diablo wifi could be slow like WLI-TX4-G54HP (giga said about this)...

it all depends your location, distance, ... Wifi has a tendency to throttle back in standards when there is a difficult connection. Not the the amount that is transfered plays a role (bandwith) but the time in milliseconds taken for a request to get to the server and reply back from the server? What gamers would call Lag

Also, placement can have a major effect on both throughput and latency; if you're not getting a strong signal at your PC, then no, gaming over wi-fi generally doesn't work very well. You may want to experiment with where you have both your router and your access point. If the problem is signal strength regardless of placement, then a booster may have some benefit.

@Joany about your netgear wge111:
is it possible to add an optional antenna for extended range and performance ?

And what differences between this wge111 and WLI-TX4-G54HP Buffalo?
Because seem to be the same...

Truth is I don't know the answer to either question. The game adaptor is designed to work in most regular sized homes. Unless your living in a mansion or have lead walls you should be ok. If the wireless bridge is out of range of your adsl router then maybe the power adapter is the way to go. Having said this I got a pair of comtrend powerline adaptor and i just couldnt configure them. And I'm quite involved in networking.
