My manual motor has packed in after we had a thunder storm, its rather
inconveinient at the mo beacuse I cannot move the dish. I dont know if
its affected the actual motor or indeed the remote and the box in the house.
All I have at the mo is a green light, when I try to manually move the dish with
remote nothing happens,I did try to contact someone on another board to
see if I could indeed install a darkman motor, only to get a mouthful of abuse
from someone on the board, all I wanted to know was could I install that
motor on my dish it does not look right,I just asked if I could indeed turn that
motor upside down, because my dish is only about 6 inches from the patio
floor,any help would be appreciated......kopite 1:respect-060:
When you have a green lite on the motor would indicate you have power. Are there buttons on the motor to move it with its power? check its manual. could be press once go one way, press twice in 0.5 seconds go other way?
On the motor ther should be a gradation in ° with a 0 in the middle and a pointer indicating the position of the dish on that scale. If you can drive the motor with that button drive it to position 0. When it is exactly at position 0. If there is a pinhole for reset use that to do a hardware reset: follow instructions from manual, could be 2 seconds or more to keep pressed down. Use a small hex key or matchstick don't use to much force on this, you should just fill it go click and hold in that position.
Once you done that check parameters in receiver either diseqc 1.2 or usals, change them where needed and see if you can now move the motor from the receiver.

no you cannot use a motor upside down m8 , they are designed to travel in an arc the correct way up only
if you could raise the motor for clearance then use any diseqc motor , assuming your present motor is diseqc and not one using a 36 volt motor and jack arm ( you need a vbox to change diseqc commands to those motors )
it would help if you actually told us what type of motor you have.
is it an actuator?
if so i might be able to offer advise
is it a diseqc motor?
if so then someone else will have to try to help you.Ian.

Hello Giga again,
Looking at the illistration on your last post, my patio mount is only 12 inches
I dont think there is enough of a clearance to put this motor on my mount,
please correct me if I am wrong....kopite1:iagree:
your correct for this type. Think you can get away with a Stab hh 120 diseqc motor or similar?
you have with dish pole to ground and others with dish pole to sky! so your question was a valid one!
F-connectors on these motors always point to ground, so you can not reverse these motors: you buy them either with pole up or down!

Hello again,
Have now given up on the SuperJack motor, I now believe the remote
has packed in, on a better note have just purchased a Stab HH100 for a
reasonable price,so I have stripped my old motor down and painted the bracket
with rust resistable paint,I am thinking of moving this a few feet so that I can
pick up Bulsat @ 39%east.....Watch this space I may need some help!!
