Hi

I am upgrading my sat setup with a new LNB and cables ect.

Has anyone be able to provide any feedback on the Universal Titanium single LNB 0.1db.

OR

Any decent LNB for a 40mm - motorised dish

cheers

What is your current dish, size? most likely here is the biggest improvement?
Think you need to compare with users in your area. Used dish and used LNB and what your goal is?

Its 1meter about to be motorised. using a .07 only 10 years old. Cant go bigger so a nice LNB for week signals. 23.5deg is a week sat for me. Changing me old ct100 for WF125 cable etc.

If dish is known brand then you would be OK, if cheap flexible dish then you could have a signal loss: if not precision tooled dish.

I have just bought above LNB ~2 weeks - it seems great, it replaced a 0.6 db and at the same time a New Spiderbox arrived - anyway, the upshot is I have a great picture .:D

I have tried quite a few 0.1db lnb's.
Can say, there was not any real difference with any. So go for cheap and save the money for a bigger dish or more sensitive tuner.
They are probably all made in the same place anyway, or have the same bits inside.

As I've just posted on a different thread here I haven't had any luck at all with a Technomate TM-1 - in fact performance was down by a considerable margin!
I assume it must be faulty - but waiting for a reply from Technomate.

dish upgrade when you can, gives the most gain. Single feed or multifeed, multi feed on standard dishes tends to add to your signal loss, is more like reducing your dish size.

Inverto black ultra (not premium) is the best of many I've tried.

anyone remember the white sharp LNB (BS1R6EL100W) lots of members use to rave about myself included, hard to find but managed to find one for 5euros it states 0.4db but that means nothing ,always worked well on my 1.1 LE dish before i moved and had to sell it stupidly sold lnb aswell,,been using a HEAD 0.1 that works well, better than the BEST 0.1 i found no better than a sky quad on this particular dish(hirschman60cm),got myself an 80cm orbital dish for 15 quid of fleabay so will try the sharp on this

simon 2003 How strange. After using the very same Sharp LNB (BS1R6EL100W)for the last 7 years. I have finally installed a Titanium Twin output LNB to take advantage of the second tuner in my CubeRevo 9000HD. But I am not happy, the Titanium is well down on output compared to the Sharp. Tuned to Astra 2D I was getting a signal strength of 85% with the Sharp and now only 65% with the Titanium. I was so convinced that I had moved something out of alignment, that I reinstalled the Sharp to check. However I must say that signal Quality is up at between 98-100%. The lack of signal strength is reflected across all the 13 sats I have. I used to be able to pull in South African Broadcasts at 68.5E (for cricket) but this is now unavailable (could be a tree has grown in the way)
Anyway, conclusion is that the 3rd generation Titanium LNB TT 0.1 dB is not as good as my 7 year old Sharp, I am so dissapointed that I am now open to suggestion for a better LNB. I suppose they call that progress!!

My findings are that the Inverto black ultra 0.2 LNB outperformed the Titanium 0.1 LNB,

roybach Well it can't be dificult if a 7 year old LNB can!!! Oops forgot to say thanks for the suggestion.

My findings are that the Inverto black ultra 0.2 LNB outperformed the Titanium 0.1 LNB,

Just last week actually i bought an Inverto black ultra after reading a great revue on it, i stuggle on 16E can get digitalb ok but can't get tring. Anyway i put it on and it is much worse than the smart titanium i already have. On 16E i can't get anything with it and on 28E snr is down from about 80% to about 60% across all channels, so i am pretty disapointed with the Inverto. Both on a 1m Orbital dish.

try moving the lnb back and towards from the dish .

Inverto black ultra lnb deffo all the way sorted out picture for me on a traix 88cm for 16e and 26e

its the long neck that makes all the differnece!

ive had a black ultra on my gibertini 1.2m and it performs better than any other 40mm lnb i have . it as good as my inverto white with CM offset feedhorn . i would like to try a titanium but my next purchase will be to sort out my fibo 90cm .

as mentioned move the black ultra back in the lnb holder , further from the dish face . the black ultra seems to have great edge control so it picks up less noise the more dish face it sees unlike others ive tried .

i use WF100 cable its real flexible and good quality

will be interesting to see your comparison between the gib 120 and the fibo 90 mate

Believe me i tried it in every position i could from furthest forward to furthest back and everything inbetween and it dropped the signal on every sat and the picture was worse. If i get a decent day this week i will i,m going to try again because it seems to make a difference for everyone but me.

I recently upgraded to a Technomate TM-1 'Super High-Gain' 0.1 and I can safely say it was the best £8.74 I ever spent. I've got to be honest that I was sceptical of the 'high-gain' claims because of the low price, but went ahead and got it after considering the Inverto Black Ultra 0.1!!
I could receive neither Bulsat 39E nor the 'Nordic beam' from 4.8E previously on what I think was a 0.6??
Now I'm getting a constant 92% level and 98% signal QUALITY on my TM5400CI from my 1M fixed dish on 39E which I'm currently directed at!
I was curious and moved it to 4.8E, and was amazed to see 70% signal quality on the Nordic beam...and I'm in NE Wales!
Hope this info helps??

Not sure if ive asked you this question before but have you replaced your Lnb & seperate feedhorn on your c/m dish with one of these new lnbs m8??

If so do they do a twin version??

Cheers
