In windows 7 you must make a extra share for everyonen for the maps you wan to share with the azbox.

On my DB600pvr with W7 (Enterprise) the whole of the DB shows up as part of the filing system (a bit like using FTP).

I haven't used the DB to look at my NAS drive but that sounds like a job for tonight.

Just a thought but many of the NAS drives use FAT32 and not NTFS - not sure how that affects things.

try Mounting W!zard v.1.3 by Daniel

mount nfs and samba servers in the AZBox.
It auto-starts the mount points when the AZBox boots, contains some options to mount nfs, and its posible to mount samba with user and password.
To install just extract the files on the attachment "MW.zip" and copy those two files to some compatible pen or copy them to the /tmp folder by ftp and install.
setup(example):
Local Folder = Download
Folder on Local =(optional) Movie_SMB(mkdir before=> /DATA/hdb1/download/Movie_SMB-example)
Ip address = 192.168.X.XX ip address (PC)
Remote Folder = Movie( shared folders)
User = user PC
Password = pass PC
Activate now = yes
SAVE, reboot AZBOX, check in Manager Files/path mount-SMB(download/Movie_SMB).

just a guess, but is your workgroup name on the azbox the same as on your win7 pc?

the used format on the NAS is normally not the decisive (EXT3, ...) it is the service running that does the translation to users OS:
SMB/CIFS: Windows
NFS: Linux
AFP: Apple Filling System
Is the service you need running on the NAS?
Have you created folders and are these set public or not?
...?
These would al be explained in the NAS manual
Normally you have a web admin access to the NAS where you can set a lot of settings (Samba, Lan, users, folder creation, ...) any of these could have a reason why things go wrong.
