View Full Version : rs232 ttl adapter

hi all, does anyone no where i can get hold of a rs232 ttl serial adapter plus the lead from this to my stb. i have a comag sl100 hd which wont go past the boot stage when switched on, so to flash the firmware i need to use the on board serial port inside, as it hasnt got one on the back of the box. the connecter inside has 4 pins. i have attached a pic of the white connecter inside the box.... thanxs.............

I would have thought you would have to make your own level shifter, I did) Loads of designs on the net using the obligatory MAX232 chip range.

Have you checked with a multimeter to make sure only 3.3 or 5 volt levels are on your connector, and not +-12/9 volt ?

Just put rs232 ttl into google ;)
