Master and slave???

In latest patches for TM6900 Super, in Option Menu "strange" setting are present.... not just RS232 and SSSP but Master and Slave option..... what is this? Anyone mentioned them.....
Also, where can I find Compass software for SSSP? In which section? I didn't find it. Thank you.

I could be wrong and am open to correction on this but I think that this Option is, if you have "two" of the same STB's and want to transfer the data (i.e) channel list or full copy from one to another using "Serial Cable" of the same type box (Without) having to go through the whole setup again, so to speak......

Giga would be the best man to answer this question but it sounds similiar to the 3000 series.

Thank you both. I didn't think to this option for transferring data, it could be. Probably very useful for installers that could prepare new boxes from a "master" one.
