Hi Guys, it's been around 2 months that the last firmware was released. So it means that this is the end of development for Azbox by the official team?

Hello,
The official firmware like you know is dead.
Opensat write a new firmware and the ripper and his team adapt Enigma for Azbox.
Regards.

Hi Hectore,
which information you have to say such a thing?
Is there any official statement or is just what you think?

Hectore probably right .. i heard some stuff about that too.
Anyway i completely forgot about opensat ....i just use KGD firmware, and patiently wait for enigma2.
We got used to opensat's BAD management and BAD releases and BAD firmwares.

Enigma2 is the future.
Doubt we will see anymore standard Openshat firmware.

Opensata and FW-a - Opensat never wrote for Azbox FW, but for it was paid for the team from Korea - from celrun, which produced HW.
Yes, they have started work on FW's, much of it is this project ....( E2 by riper and team)

Who cares....
Releasing or not releasing new fws is exactly the same thing...
We only see numbers increasing....
What bothers me most is that if finally the ripper and his team make e2 work,
then this box is going to have a huge market success and this will only benefit (economically) opensat's dumbasses...

Celrun was the one that made the bad firmware and makes the azbox hardware, opensat hired some good coders to try to improve the celrun's firmware.
They did improve it (faster zapping, better LAN and USB speed, less crashes, etc), but they know that they couldn't make miracles, they solved one problem, but the way the firmware was coded originated a bug elsewhere.
From what I heard, there was no organization in the coding made by celrun, the firmware was a coding nightmare.
The only solution is a new firmware from opensat.

yep, and leave koreans away.
make firmware from scratch...takes a lot of time, but it's the best way.full control.

After 1,5+ year since the product is launched and since they (Opensat) know that this prossesor cannot handle efficiently decoding+networking, you think that they will spend money+time making a good OS for the box???
My personal opinion is that they (opensat) will give to independent coders everything they know (if they allready didn't) and they will move to another project that can be controllable by them and not the Koreans.
I think it's up to the coders like Ripper and the team if the box will survive a few months-years longer.

believe me, processor can handle way way better than it handles now decoding+network.
enigma2 will be huge performance improvement.
regarding their new firmware..it will take like 3 months till we see something ...... at that time enigma2 from the_ripper and friends will be more then good.

Well .. with E2 the value of our, 2nd hand boxes will jump.
As for Opensat's stock. I don't think it's huge - otherwise they would have cut prices to ged rid of the pile of s""t
