f100 shows when it boots on the spider front panel and if you have a channel list it will then go to the last channel you viewed after 0000 shows up

please be nice to him common,
Had the same problem with mine earlier today.
Try turning it off via the switch on the back, leave it a couple of minutes, and then turn the switch back on. This worked for me.

No
You need a channel listing installed in the box or have setup your sats and done a scan on each sat' and of course set your box up correctly incl' installing the Free Gift and turning on 'Network' - best catch up on some reading me thinks
As stated to you on another forum m8 talk to supplier if it was straight out of box.Because it should boot up.

Yeah I read the other thread too - I think he should start at the beginning and set the box up correctly, if it still doesn't work, ring the supplier ;)

Told you already...get your null modem (if you have one) connect it to your serial port of your pc (9 pins socket) and to the box and run the force boot software to reset the box, the loader is somehow corrupted and the box is stuck on f100.
If that doesn't work (please try 6 or 9 times first), contact the seller.
My box is stuck on f100 this morning. I have downloaded the force boot software and followed the instructions below.
1. Switch off STB
2. Run downloadin.exe on PC
3. Select COM port and Press connect button
4. Press "Choose file" and select the attached HD9000_RS232_0629.bin
5. Switch on STB
6. You will see the progress status on PC
7. STB will auto-reboot after finishing the downloading.
The com port is showing connected, I have chosen the HD9000_RS232_0629.bin file and switched on the box at the back but nothing appears to be happening. The progress is still showing 0% after 30 minutes.
Because I have no serial port on this laptop I am using a usb/serial converter. Could this be the problem?

yes I would say it is , try using a desktop pc running xp that has a standard com port at the back

Thanks for your help.
Have now tried both downloads with the same result. The box is still stuck on f100 and will not boot.
I will contact the seller on Monday to arrange a replacement.

before you do, turn off box at rear, after you have put it into standby with remote. Take off lnb lead, check it carefully ie that it is wired correctly, re connect to spider but make sure it is good and tight, switch on at back, then use remote to turn on, wait a few seconds. Then press red button on remote ie in effect do a reboot.
Its worth a try.

I also had the F100 problem - it was a faulty box and it was replaced.
