Upgrade from Spiderbox 9000

Looking at the Vu Duo to replace the spider which is a great little box but want a little bit more.

I know the Duo has twin tuners and a seven day epg

Hows the picture compared to the spider ?

What other differences are there ?

Hi , I cant compair VU vs 800. but VU duo hd I compaired with dm 800 hd ( clone ) , azbox hd elite , dm 500 and dm 7000 .

The results are that it beat all with supiriorty .

I would say VU duo is like a dm 8000 hd on steroids ...

I can only compair with an old Technomate 9101 which it just blows the socks off. Cracking picture, fast channel change, super value an loads more. With good support and lots of plugins.

In a word stability.

I find that the ccam suffers a lot of crashes and drop outs.

vu is a great machine and having had many think only the dm8000 (at £900) is better....its better than techno 800hd dm 800 and any of spiderboxes i think

I think your cccam problems is a question of your cfg and your peers.
Cccam runs verry stable on my box with VTI image.No crashes at all.

Spiderbox has CCcam stability issues with newer than 2.1.11 servers.
